To further confuse the price difference from an Apple and an equal to task PC,
Apple is upping their computer bundles to include a firewire capable Sony digital
video recorder, top of the line Olympus digital camera, document and slide
scanner, color laser printer, hard wired 22 inch plasma display so it is not
interchangeable and gold plated logo (1/2 ounce), shipped with every available
piece of Mac software. This bundle will cost just under $80,000, but for what
you get in the equivalent on the PC and a jeweler, this is actually a savings of
$49. Apple wants to make sure the expensive myth is put to rest. These bundles
will be the only way to purchase a Mac starting in January 2007 and they can run
a new set of tv ads of how the Mac is better and less expensive than an
equivalent PC.
