Following the lead of Dell's genius, Apple is removing all their products from
their stores. This follows Dell's plans to open up Dell stores with no products
available, only the sale from their website from within the store. All in one
day the rest of New York City stores are following suit. Instead of marketing
to people to buy from Dell's website from their own home, Dell wants people to
take a cab, bus, train, car or walk to their store and use their web connection
to buy their products with a Dell employee pushing them to say, "you need that".
Apple is trucking out their inventory and even replaced the NYC stores genius
with a kiosk that reads "contact us". The rest of NYC is in a mad scramble to
get their products out of their stores, wondering how it took them all so long to
see the light that Dell so cleverly found. A local grocery store has already
cleared out all their merchandise and have replaced their cash registers and
scanners with monitors to shop for your groceries to be delivered whenever they
feel like it.
This disturbing new trend has moved so quickly through New York City, all stores
in America may be removing all their products and offering kiosks that connect
to their respective websites. So now people can travel to their favorite stores
and see their websites, one website at a time and miles apart. Thanks Dell, you're wicked smart.
