SanDisk started an iDon't website to say that people that got an iPod were sheep
and iPod owners were basically stupid and should be free thinkers and buy a
product from someone else, namely SanDisk. Apple has been kicking and scratching
for every piece of the market they have in any category. The SanDisk
people have really hit on a negative advertising campaign that could allow people
to feel self-conscious and throw their iPod away and buy from the whiners.
After their iDon't campaign, which will of course obliterate Apple from the Mp3
player market, SanDisk plans to employ the same practice by going into the
beverage business. They will be telling people who drink Coke that they are sheep and are
not free thinkers and another market will be conquered by SanDisk's creative
ploys to draw people into buying their great new soda.
Not to get too far ahead of the rest of 2006, but they have plans to take over
grocery store shelves everywhere, tearing down everything from consumers who buy Kleenex
brand tissues to making MaxiPads a thing of the past. The maturity and
creativity of SanDisk were discounted by many of their competitors, especially
Apple.
On another note, we at Made Up Mac are considering starting a website to take
over the Mp3 player market after SanDisk garners all of the music player sales
called iSchmuck.
