In the face of the class-action lawsuit that the iPod Nano scratches too easily,
a couple of other lawsuits have popped up against Apple. These are
frivolous lawsuits by people trying to get into Apple's deep pockets, and Apple
doesn't want to simply pay off these lawsuits or pay any money that it shouldn't have
to. However, the latest in iPod lawsuits is that iPod owners are complaining that
their iPods stop functioning after repeated hits of a sledgehammer. A couple of
customers on the plantiff side admitted that they didn't completely crush the iPod
with one blow, but needed to hit it repeatedly before the iPod failed to be used
anymore.
A smaller group of iPod owners in Long Beach, California are in a snorkeling club. Not one of them had pause when they thought of listening to music as they dove
into the water.
